Precision-Printed Barcode & QR Code Labels for Every Industry

Barcode and QR code labels are the backbone of modern supply chains, retail operations, pharmaceutical track-and-trace, and consumer engagement. A label that fails to scan costs time, money, and customer trust. At Nurvyn, we engineer every label to meet or exceed GS1 barcode quality standards, ensuring first-scan success rates of 100% across all major scanner types.

Our state-of-the-art digital and flexographic printing systems produce barcode labels with print contrast ratios that consistently achieve ISO/IEC 15416 Grade A ratings. Industry-Specific Barcode Label Requirements We Meet

Retail & Consumer Goods: UPC-A and EAN-13 barcodes for point-of-sale scanning, GS1 compliance for major retailers including Walmart, Target, and Amazon. Our retail barcode labels are tested to scan at checkout speeds and under store lighting conditions. We also produce GS1 DataBar labels for fresh produce and variable-weight items.

Logistics & Warehousing: ITF-14 and GS1-128 shipping container labels, SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) labels, and pallet labels that comply with major retailer and 3PL requirements. Our logistics labels use aggressive adhesives that bond to corrugated cardboard and remain scannable in cold storage and outdoor environments.

Pharmaceutical & Healthcare: Serialized 2D Data Matrix labels for DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) compliance, GS1 DataMatrix with GTIN, lot number, expiry date, and serial number. Our pharma labels meet FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements and are compatible with all major pharmaceutical serialization systems.

Food & Beverage: GS1-compliant barcodes with lot codes and expiry dates for food traceability, QR codes linking to product origin and sustainability information, and FDA-compliant nutrition fact panel labels with integrated barcodes. All food-contact label materials meet FDA 21 CFR standards.

From Artwork to Scan-Guaranteed Labels

Our rigorous 5-step production process ensures every barcode label we ship meets the highest quality standards and scans reliably in your application.

01
Artwork Review & Barcode Generation
Our prepress team reviews your artwork, generates barcodes to GS1 specifications, and verifies all data encoding before production begins.
02
Material Selection
We select the optimal label stock, adhesive, and finish based on your application environment — indoor, outdoor, cold chain, chemical exposure, or high-temperature.
03
High-Resolution Printing
Digital or flexographic printing at 600–1200 dpi ensures crisp, high-contrast barcode elements that meet ISO print quality standards.
04
Barcode Verification
Every production run is verified using ISO-certified barcode verifiers. We check print contrast, modulation, defects, decodability, and quiet zones to ensure Grade A quality.
05
Finishing & Delivery
Labels are finished with laminate or coating as specified, then cut, wound, and packaged to your requirements before being shipped to your door.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about our custom barcode and QR code label manufacturing services.

Our minimum order quantity is 500 labels for most barcode label types. For variable data labels with unique barcodes on each label (such as serialized pharmaceutical labels), there is no minimum order quantity — we can produce as few as 100 unique labels. Contact us for pricing on small quantities.
We can generate barcode data for you, but GS1 barcodes (UPC, EAN, GS1-128, etc.) require a GS1 Company Prefix that you must license from GS1 directly. We can advise you on the GS1 licensing process and help you obtain your company prefix. Once you have your GS1 prefix, we generate all barcode data and verify compliance before printing. For non-GS1 barcodes (Code 39, Code 128 for internal use, QR codes, etc.), we generate the barcode data based on your specifications.
Our barcode labels consistently achieve ISO/IEC 15416 Grade A (the highest grade) for 1D barcodes and ISO/IEC 15415 Grade A for 2D barcodes including QR codes and Data Matrix. We verify every production run using certified ISO-compliant barcode verifiers. Grade A barcodes are required by many major retailers and are the standard for pharmaceutical and healthcare applications.
For harsh environments, we offer several durable material options: Polyester (PET) labels for chemical resistance and temperature extremes (-40°F to +300°F), polypropylene (BOPP) for moisture and UV resistance, vinyl for outdoor applications, and polyimide (Kapton) for extreme heat applications up to 500°F. We also offer laminated labels with gloss or matte laminate for additional protection against abrasion, moisture, and chemicals. All harsh-environment labels are tested to ensure barcodes remain scannable after exposure to the relevant conditions.
Yes, we produce RFID smart labels that combine passive UHF RFID (EPC Gen2, ISO 18000-6C) with printed barcodes and QR codes on the label surface. This dual-technology approach allows items to be identified both by traditional barcode scanning and contactless RFID reading. We also offer NFC (HF 13.56 MHz) labels for consumer-facing applications. RFID labels are programmed and verified before shipping.
We accept artwork in AI, EPS, PDF, and high-resolution TIFF formats. For barcode labels, you can provide the barcode data (numbers/text to encode) and we will generate the barcode artwork to the correct specifications. Alternatively, you can provide a complete label design file. Our prepress team reviews all artwork for print readiness and barcode compliance before production. We provide a digital proof for your approval before printing.
Standard turnaround is 10–14 business days from artwork approval. Rush orders can be completed in 5–7 business days for an additional fee. For very large orders (over 1 million labels) or complex variable data jobs, turnaround may be longer — contact us for a specific timeline. We also offer blanket order programs where we pre-produce and warehouse labels for just-in-time delivery.
Yes, we specialize in pharmaceutical barcode labels compliant with DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act), FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and EU FMD (Falsified Medicines Directive) requirements. Our pharmaceutical labels include serialized 2D Data Matrix codes with GTIN, lot number, expiry date, and serial number encoded in GS1 DataMatrix format. We have experience working with all major pharmaceutical serialization platforms and can provide the necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
