About Our Waterproof Labels
What Are Waterproof Labels — and Why Do They Matter?
Waterproof labels are pressure-sensitive labels manufactured from synthetic film substrates — primarily BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene), polyester (PET), or vinyl — rather than paper. Unlike standard paper labels, waterproof labels will not absorb moisture, tear when wet, or lose adhesion when submerged. The print layer is protected by a laminate or varnish coating that prevents smearing, fading, and peeling even under prolonged exposure to water, humidity, oils, and cleaning chemicals.
For product manufacturers, choosing the right waterproof label is a critical packaging decision. A label that fails in the field — peeling off a shampoo bottle in the shower, smearing on a craft beer in an ice bucket, or fading on an outdoor equipment tag — damages brand credibility and can create compliance issues for regulated products. Nurvyn’s waterproof labels are engineered to perform in the most demanding environments, from -40°C freezer storage to 80°C industrial heat.
As a factory-direct waterproof labels manufacturer, Nurvyn controls every step of production — from substrate selection and adhesive coating to printing, lamination, and die-cutting. This vertical integration allows us to offer competitive pricing, fast lead times of 7–12 business days, and consistent quality across every order, whether you need 500 labels or 5 million.
